Two middle-aged persons were crushed to death by an articulated vehicle in Fiditi town, Oyo State. Eyewitnesses said that the incident occurred on Sunday evening on the new Ibadan/Oyo expressway in the Afijio Local Government Area of the state. It was gathered that the victims were returning from their trip to Ibadan when the unfortunate incident happened. Investigations further revealed that the motorcyclist died on the spot, while the second person, who was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, gave up the ghost a few hours later. One of the eyewitnesses said on Monday that “The driver of the trailer was trying to avoid the potholes, and in the process, he ran over the victims. “The victims were a man and a woman. The man died immediately while the woman was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, but she also died a few hours later.”
