A deadly bandit raid in Kokodo village, Edu Local Government Area, has claimed the lives of four people and left two others kidnapped. The attack occurred late Thursday night, around 11:40 p.m., targeting a group of local hunters who tried to fend off the assailants. According to a resident who spoke with NupekoTv, three hunters were killed on the spot during the clash, while a fourth victim, who sustained severe gunshot wounds, died Thursday morning while receiving treatment. The attackers also abducted two community members before fleeing the scene. The identities of the deceased and the kidnapped individuals have not yet been disclosed. This incident adds to a growing pattern of violent attacks in Kwara North, where communities continue to live under the threat of banditry. Residents of Kokodo have expressed deep concern over their safety and are urging authorities to establish a stronger and more permanent security presence to prevent further tragedies.
