Some gunmen suspected to be bandits have reportedly killed an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), identified as CCA Adamu Abdullah, 37, in an ambush along Yantumaki–Danmusa road. The incident, it was gathered, occurred Friday at approximately 5pm in Dafa village when the bandits laid deadly ambush against the NSCDC personnel. Four other personnel identified as DSC Abdullah Usman, 40; ASC Dikko Sabiu, 42; ASC Haruna Bello, 35; and CCA Kabir Dalhatu, 29 equally sustained injuries in the attack. The operatives, attached to Operation Sharan Daji, were on transit when the suspected bandits struck. Prompt response from security personnel in Danmusa led to the evacuation of the injured officers to the General Hospital, Dutsinma, for medical treatment. "On receiving the report, security personnel from Danmusa mobilised patrol teams to the scene. The injured officers were evacuated to General Hospital, Dutsinma, for treatment, while their Hilux vehicle was recovered," the report quoted a source to have said.
