Suspected hoodlums stabbed a 38-year-old Uber driver, Mr. Vincent Bala, to death during a late-night raid in Takushara Village in the Kabusa axis of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the assailants who stormed the community in the early hours of Sunday, September 14, 2025, mistook Bala for their target said to be the manager of a nearby bakery. According to witnesses, the gang went from house to house, dispossessing residents of cash, phones and other valuables before attacking Bala. “He was not the person they were looking for, but they still attacked him. It was a senseless killing,” a resident said. Bala, who allegedly resisted the hoodlums’ threats, was stabbed multiple times. Neighbours rushed him to Garki General Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead on arrival. His remains have since been deposited in the morgue.
