Suspected bandits have killed the village head of Sayinna and another resident during an attack in Tangaza Local Government Area, Sokoto State. The attack happened around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday when gunmen, believed to be Lakurawa bandits armed with sophisticated weapons, stormed Sayinna village and opened fire. Two male residents were killed in the shooting, a 47-year-old village head Murtala Sa’adu and another man, Ibrahim Mai-Kudi, both from Sayinna. The attackers fled into nearby bushes after the assault. Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA were quickly mobilised to the area, evacuated the victims to a hospital, and intensified patrols to prevent further attacks.
