Several unsuspecting citizens of Sokoto State fleeing attacks by suspected bandits have reportedly died. The boat carrying the victims reportedly struck a culvert and capsized, leading to casualties. According to report, the ugly incident occurred on Thursday night when the trouble makers launched attacks on their victims. Details of the incident could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report. However, it was gathered that rescue efforts are currently underway as authorities work to assess the full extent of the casualties.
