The Senior Special Assistant on Humanitarian Services to Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Muhammed Egye Osolafia, popularly known as Deedat, has reportedly been kidnapped by gunmen. Osolafia was reportedly abducted on Saturday night shortly after arriving at his residence in the Tudun Amba area of Lafia, the state capital. It was gathered that the assailants stormed the neighbourhood, shooting sporadically into the air to scare residents before whisking him away. Confirming the incident, Governor Sule’s Senior Special Adviser on Public Affairs, Peter Ahemba, described the abduction as “sad and unfortunate.” He said he received the information from a colleague.
