Fear gripped commuters on Sunday as suspected armed herdsmen ambushed a commercial bus on the Makurdi–Naka highway and abducted all passengers on board. Eyewitnesses said the vehicle, which left Makurdi for Naka, was intercepted before it reached its destination. The attackers reportedly marched the passengers into nearby bushes at gunpoint.
