Terror swept through Idofin Odo-Ase, a quiet community in Oke Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, on Thursday, after armed terrorists launched a deadly attack that left at least three people brutally murdered and forced residents to flee their homes in fear. Two shot and one other stabbed, during the violent invasion that has again thrown the entire Kwara South axis into panic. Witnesses told that the gunmen stormed the community in the evening, shooting sporadically and attacking residents in their homes before escaping into nearby forests. “They came suddenly, shooting and shouting. We ran into the bush, but three people were killed instantly,” a resident said. “People are leaving the community this morning because we don’t know if they will come back.” The community source added that no security operatives arrived during or after the assault. “We didn’t see police or soldiers. The killers moved freely,” he said. “Everyone is scared. Families are packing their belongings and running to nearby towns.”
